Poyle Park House 1898

Poyle Park House

This picture of the east elevation of Poyle Park House shows a Chester funeral hatchment hanging above the front door.

We think that it must date from the death of Charlotte Ellen Chester in 1898. Charlotte Ellen Chester is buried in the family tomb in the churchyard at Seale.

Her son Dr Henry Morris Chester, "the last squire", died 14 July 1923. He was cremated at Woking and his remains are also in the family tomb at Seale.
