Christopher Patrick was born in Badshot Lea in 1884, the son of Frederick and Maria Patrick.

The 1911 census records that he was a market gardener living at Lea House in Badshot Lea, with his wife Wilhelmina. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission records that his wife was living at Lea House.
