Ash Museum 1294/7/1

This is a small section of an 1871 map (1294/7/1). The map comprises four Ordnance Survey 25 inch sheets joined together so that they show the whole of Ash parish. The maps were tinted and varnished, with the buildings and outbuildings coloured pink or grey, the ponds coloured blue, and the parish recreation grounds coloured green.

Maps, plans and street maps are kept in Ash Museum's History Room.

Many maps held by the British Library and the National Library of Scotland can be viewed online.
